Blast kills three terror suspects in Pakistan

Islamabad, Sept 7, IRNA -- At least three terror suspects were killed in a blast in Pakistan on Thursday, official sources said.

 

Three suspects were killed when explosives went off inside a house in Bhakkar district in Punjab province, security sources said. The sources said that the suspects were preparing a suicide jacket when the device exploded.

 

The sources said the suspects had been planning terror attack somewhere in the region. There was no information about the identity of those killed.

 

Meanwhile, a bombing attempt was thwarted when police killed one of two suspected bombers in the outskirts of Peshawar on Thursday, police said.

 

The suspects, pushing a handcart, opened fire when police tried to stop them. A bomb blast followed the crossfire which killed one of the suspects.

 

The bomb disposal squad (BDS) was called in to inspect the handcart which contained explosives at Barra Shaikhan area of Peshawar.
