	 Iran, Iraq sign agreement to expand cooperation

Kermanshah, June 24, IRNA -- Iran and Iraq on Sunday signed an agreement to expand cooperation in all economic, trade and cultural fields

 

The Agreement was signed by Iran's Deputy Interior Minister for Planning and Economic Affairs Yahya Mahmoudzadeh and Iraqi Minister of State for Provinces Affairs Turhan Mazhar Hassan al-Mofti at the end of two-day meeting of Iranian and Iraqi Governors General of 11 neighboring provinces in Kermanshah.

Meanwhile, another agreement was signed by the governors general on border trade and economic cooperation.

The Governors General of five Iranian Provinces of Khuzestan, Ilam, West Azarbaijan, Kordestan, Kermanshah and those from six Iraqi provinces of Erbil, Sulaimaniya, Diala, Vasset, Keysan and Basra held a meeting on June 23-24 in Kermanshah.

Iranian and Iraqi officials including Vice-President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou took part in the meeting
