Istanbul/Turkey.-The Syrian Coalition strongly condemns the terrorist attack which took place in Jaramana, a suburb of Damascus, on August 6, 2013.This act of terror took the lives of innocent civilians, including women and children, and left many more wounded. The regime continues to target civilian population with these types of cowered acts of terror in its attempt to scare Syrians from a future democratic and free Syria.
The Syrian Coalition disavows all acts of violence that target civilian populations and commits to all Syrians that the perpetrators of the Jaramana bombing and those who are reponsible for killing over 100,000 Syrians will be held accountable for their crimes, in accordance with the principles of Syrian and international law. The Syrian Coalition is dedicated to building a Syria where all Syrians, regardless of religion or ethnicity, live in freedom.
The Syrian Coalition remains committed to ensuring that all violations of international human rights law are prosecuted. While our commitment to international law remains clear, the Assad regime continues its daily violation of basic humanitarian principles, as well international laws through its systematic targeting of innocent civilians, including women and children. These vicious crimes have already cost the lives of more than 100,000 Syrians.
