Lebanon.-After examination of the report released by the Independent Commission of Inquiry on Syria, the Syrian Coalition continues to be committed to working with authorities to condemn any violation of human rights, international law, or treaties. The Syrian Coalition has read the report's description, with intense scrutiny, relaying how the conflict in Syria has reached new heights of brutality and describing how human rights violations are becoming more severe. The Syrian Coalition pledges to hold all those involved in such violations accountable, before a fair trial, to ensure that the innocent are acquitted and that the guilty are punished.

However, the Syrian Coalition emphasizes that there is no comparison between those who systematically drop fatal explosives, killing innocent women and children to suppress a popular revolution, and those who bear light and medium arms to defend unarmed civilians.
We ask for mercy for our martyrs, health for our wounded, and freedom for our detainees.
