Islamabad, Feb 8, IRNA - A US drone fired missiles into a house, killing six people in Pakistan’s North Waziristan tribal region on Wednesday
A US spy aircraft fired two missiles into the compound at Tappi village, nearly 10 kilometers from Miranshah, destroying a house, a tribesman said.
The US resumed drone strike in Waziristan tribal region in January after a two-month lull.
A recent investigative report said this week that the CIA-run pilotless aircraft are targeting innocent people.
The report by the London-based center said the drone campaign in Pakistan has killed dozens of civilians who had gone to help rescue victims or were attending funerals.
The investigation by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism was published just days after President Obama claimed that the drone campaign in Pakistan was a ‘targeted, focused effort’ that ‘has not caused a huge number of civilian casualties.’
